Check-In / Information Desk Volunteer: 

This volunteer role includes the following responsibilities: 

  • Greeting and Welcoming:

    • Welcome visitors and attendees to the event or organization.
    • Provide a warm and friendly first point of contact for guests.
  • Check-In Procedures:

    • Assist with attendee registration and check-in processes.
    • Verify attendee information, such as names, affiliations, or ticket details.
    • Distribute name badges, event materials, and any necessary documentation.
  • Providing Information:

    • Offer information about event schedules, locations, and activities.
    • Answer questions and provide assistance regarding event logistics, amenities, and facilities.
    • Direct attendees to appropriate areas or resources within the venue.
  • Handling Inquiries and Concerns:

    • Address inquiries and concerns from attendees in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Provide accurate and timely responses to questions or requests for assistance.
    • Resolve issues or escalate them to the appropriate staff members or supervisors as needed.
  • Maintaining Order and Efficiency:

    • Ensure that lines and queues at the check-in desk are orderly and moving efficiently.
    • Manage crowd flow and prevent congestion around the check-in area.
    • Coordinate with other volunteers or staff members to streamline check-in processes.
  • Recording Attendance:

    • Record attendance data 
    • Maintain accurate records of check-in and registration activities.

 

 

About the Event: 

Our Celebrating Neurodiversity Luncheon acknowledges the beauty in neurodiversity and provides an understanding of Autism through a lens of neurodiversity, a space to feature neurodivergent talent and art and an opportunity to form meaningful connections with our neurodivergent participants.

Kind Theory is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization working to cultivate acceptance, inclusion and celebration for neurodiversity through education and opportunities.
