This exclusive event will be for approximately 45 low-income families. We are seeking volunteers to assist with set up starting at 8 am and take down starting at 3 pm along with volunteers to be shopping assistants for our participants. 

Set up may include clothing and shoe sorting and assisting with household furniture handouts as needed by AAAlways An open door and LIFT R&R . To learn more about this event, please see below 

 

L.I.F.T. R&R is excited to announce our 4th annual "Another Man's Treasure" Event. 

This exclusive event will be held on September 30, 2023, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at Victory Church of McKinney, as part of LIFT R&R's Uplift Signature Events!  “Another Man’s Treasure” will focus on helping those in poverty by GIVING AWAY donated new and gently used clothing and providing brand new household items furnished this year by AAAlways, an open-door provisions nonprofit! James Sharp, CEO of Sharp Shoes, will for the second year in a row provide new shoes to all of our participants! YMCA McKinney graciously donates multiple memberships for the families and LIFTR&R will provide Free Walmart gift cards! 

We bring 20 nonprofits each year to help with providing resources for their future, such as free financial literacy programs provided by 1st United Bank's Bonsai program, free on our website at liftrandr.org. Free healthcare available through HOPE Clinic of McKinney and the ability to apply for free childcare and free skills training and employment options through North Central Texas Workforce Solutions. Their mobile unit is equipped with technology to help enroll families in these programs on-site at our event! 

This year's nonprofit partners include AEYL, TLT-Tomorrow's Leaders Today, Victory Church, HOPE Clinic, A Motivating Love, AAAlways an Open Door, Fresh Start Christian Sober Living Home (for men), Silver Linings Recovery Home (for women), One Heart Mckinney, North Texas Job Corps, North Central Texas Workforce Solutions, YMCA Mckinney, The Food Lounge, Briidge the Gap, Lifepath Systems, McKinney Food Pantry, Delighted to Doulah, Local Good Center, Credit Union of Texas, Purposed for Destiny, First United Bank, and Fresh Start for Your Heart. 

 

To apply as a participant for Another Man's Treasure, please go to liftrandr.org, select events, then Another Man's Treasure. 

To qualify, you must be low-income, based on federal poverty guidelines, live in Collin County, and be at least 18 years old. Priority will be given to those that have not attended prior year's AMT events!
