Description

Volunteer Security Guard Hope Restored Missions is seeking dependable and community minded Volunteer Security Guards to help create a safe and welcoming environment for our clients, staff, and volunteers during outreach events and daily operations. Responsibilities include monitoring the premises, assisting with crowd flow, helping de escalate concerns when needed, and reporting safety issues to leadership. Volunteers should be observant, calm under pressure, and committed to serving vulnerable populations with dignity and respect. Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience is preferred but not required.

Inclement Weather Plan: Hope Restored Missions remains committed to serving vulnerable populations during inclement weather, including extreme heat, freezing temperatures, rain, and severe weather events. Volunteer Security Guards may be asked to support operations during these conditions as part of emergency response efforts. To ensure safety: • Weather conditions will be monitored daily by leadership. • Volunteers will receive advance communication regarding schedule changes, delays, or emergency activation. • In cases of severe weather, some services may be moved indoors, adjusted, or modified to protect staff, volunteers, and clients. • Volunteers are encouraged to dress appropriately for weather conditions, including rain gear, cold weather layers, and heat protection. • Access to water, cooling stations, and warming areas will be provided when applicable. • If conditions become unsafe, leadership reserves the right to suspend volunteer activities immediately. Volunteer Security Guards play an important role in maintaining order, assisting with crowd management, and helping ensure the safety of all participants during emergency weather operations.
