Hope Restored Missions – Restoring Lives, Renewing Hope

Who We Are

We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 agency that restores hope to the hopeless by coming alongside those who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of housing insecurity. Our agency is fully committed to providing trauma-informed care, ensuring that every interaction is grounded in safety, trust, choice, collaboration, and empowerment. With supportive relationships developed through our Resource Center, we provide advocacy, guidance, case management, and referrals to partnering resources in order to equip our clients to become self-sustaining. We also provide photo IDs to clients while we help them replace lost or stolen government-issued IDs.

Hope Restored Missions began in the spring of 2019. Our founder, Tamara Monroe, began a faith walk and partnered with three other servant leaders to form this organization. She saw a need for more resources and urgency to serve those most in need: the impoverished and the homeless.

Since its grassroots launch, Hope Restored Missions has been the first point of contact for many vulnerable individuals facing homelessness in our Collin County and North Texas communities. The majority of our organization is staffed by volunteers who come from all around the DFW metroplex. Our volunteers come from all walks of life, with a wide variety of backgrounds, and all seek to come alongside our unsheltered neighbors in order to help them overcome barriers and restore hope to reach their full potential with self-sustaining, purposeful lives.

With this core of dedicated volunteers, since 2019, we have already supported over 2,450 individuals on their journey to securing housing, gaining access to medical and mental healthcare, building employability skills, and regaining wellness and stability. As word has spread about our services, we have seen a significant increase in the number of people seeking help.

We do not have any service eligibility requirements; we will help anyone who comes through our doors. If the person needs specialized care that we cannot provide, we will refer them to another service provider with whom we have a working partnership.

Aside from meeting material and service needs, we strive to develop relationships with our clients and provide a sense of community and belonging—something they tell us over and over again gives them hope.
