Where: Erwin Park 4300 Co Rd 1006, McKinney, TX 75071
We will be on-site promptly at 9 AM and leave to perform the clean-up at 9:10 AM.
What we will be doing: This will strictly be a Clean-Up event. Trash will be collected in the community areas of the park, like the walking trail, roadside, by the pond, and next to brush.
What to bring: Volunteer waivers will be completed at the start of the event. Participants under age 18 need to have a guardian or parent sign the form. If you bring your own tools, please have them marked as such so we know they are yours.
What do I wear: Long pants, long sleeves, face covering, and closed-toed shoes or boots. Sunscreen and bug spray are recommended. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Do not wear leggings or other thin material which is not protective on your body.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early for waiver sign-in and team assignments.
Volunteers can earn service hours for their school group, troop, or club. See a member of the McKinney Parks Foundation to have your volunteer forms signed at the event.
To volunteer with this event, you must RSVP. Registration is limited.
This is an event coinciding with the City of McKinney's Office of Environmental Sustainability. McKinney Parks and Recreation is hosting this Trash-Off volunteer event at Erwin Park to pick up trash in an effort to keep our waterways clean.
