Cooler temperatures make fall the perfect time to work outdoors! Join Embrace Texas as they wrap up some projects on the campus of their "Collin House" program, providing shelter to children entering foster care. Located in Historic Downtown McKinney, the specific address will be provided the week of the event. Projects include:
- Painting a wooden deck
- Spreading gravel on the driveway
- Leaf raking and bagging
All volunteers are asked to bring work gloves and a heavy-duty metal/iron rake or shovel (if they have one). Dress for painting and getting a bit dirty and wear closed-toe shoes. The areas of the property where these projects take place are not wheelchair accessible. This project needs at least 4 volunteers.
Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Event takes place from 9am - 11am.
* May end sooner than 12 pm depending on volunteer count
LOCATION NOTES: We will send directions for parking and location to meet the day before. Please do not come to the front door of the white house.
