JOB PURPOSE
Cumberland has 17.2 acres of land with 3 cottages, 8 Single Parent Family Residences, 1 Section 8 Housing Residence, a gym, a fellowship hall, and more. Volunteers are to help maintenance team with jobs ranging from handyman type work, to landscaping. Volunteers are essential to keeping the “home” feeling on campus. Volunteers may adopt a specific area of campus or simply work on different areas of campus helping us with upkeep. It is perfect for a few hours a week, month or longer.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform tasks as needed based on maintenance team's requests and volunteer's personal skills
• Range from hanging curtains to painting walls to landscaping
Basic knowledge of handyman areas is preferred but our team is great at teaching.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must consent, complete, and pass all background checks required by DFPS including: department of public safety, FBI fingerprinting, and DFPS central registry.
Must have a Tuberculosis test completed with a negative screening.
Must complete volunteer orientation.
