Atrium Gallery Reception Greeter Volunteer
The MillHouse Foundation is seeking friendly, professional volunteers to assist with the reception for the Texas Trailblazing Wonder Women exhibition at the Atrium Gallery in the historic McKinney Cotton Mill.
Volunteers will welcome guests, provide directions, answer basic questions, and help create a warm and professional experience for attendees. Guests may include artists, gallery owners, community leaders, elected officials, business professionals, and members of the public.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Greet guests as they arrive
- Direct visitors to the reception and exhibition areas
- Escort guests to the appropriate location when needed
- Answer basic event questions
- Maintain a welcoming and professional presence throughout the event
Requirements
- Professional, business-casual attire
- Ability to stand for up to two hours
- Ability to walk guests to event locations when needed
- Friendly, courteous, and professional communication skills
- No cellphone use during volunteer shifts except for emergencies
This role is ideal for students and young adults interested in gaining experience in arts, events, hospitality, or community engagement. While we encourage volunteers to enjoy the event, this is a working volunteer position. We ask volunteers to represent MillHouse Foundation professionally and help ensure every guest feels welcomed and valued.
