Volunteer Opportunity: Google Ads Administrator

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented volunteer to help manage and optimize our Google Ads account. As a nonprofit, we receive up to $10,000/month in free advertising through the Google Ad Grants program, and we need help making the most of it. Your work will directly increase awareness of our mission, drive traffic to our website, and help us reach more of the people we serve.

What You'll Do

• Manage day-to-day administration of our Google Ads (Ad Grants) account
• Create and refine search campaigns, ad groups, and ad copy
• Conduct keyword research and maintain negative keyword lists
• Monitor campaign performance and ensure compliance with Google Ad Grants policies (e.g., maintaining the required click-through rate and account activity)
• Set up conversion tracking and report monthly on key metrics such as clicks, conversions, and cost-per-click
• Recommend improvements to landing pages and messaging based on performance data

What We're Looking For

• Experience with Google Ads (professional, volunteer, or coursework/certification such as Google Ads Search Certification)
• Familiarity with Google Analytics and basic conversion tracking
• Strong written communication skills for crafting clear, compelling ad copy
• Self-directed work style with reliable follow-through
• Bonus: experience with the Google Ad Grants program specifically, or with nonprofit marketing
