Make a Difference Day is a national day of service where people come together to create positive change in their communities. In McKinney, this special weekend will be held on Friday, October 24th, and Saturday, October 25th, with dozens of volunteer projects taking place across the city.
Each year, families, students, clubs, businesses, and individuals join Volunteer McKinney to support local nonprofits and give back in meaningful ways. Whether it’s lending a hand at a community garden, assembling care kits, or helping with neighborhood clean-ups, every project helps strengthen our community.
How It Works
We're currently in the planning process with nonprofits to create projects for this year. Check back during the first week of October to discover some great opportunities to get involved.
Join us on Make a Difference Day by preparing the Cornerstone Ranch garden for a special event!
Volunteers will help by pulling weeds, planting flowers, potting plants, and stringing lights to create a welcoming atmosphere. This project is ideal for groups or individuals who don't mind rolling up their sleeves and working outdoors to make a meaningful impact behind the scenes.
