Empty Hand Open Heart is looking for a volunteer grant writer to help us grow our reach and sustain our mission of supporting women and girls rebuilding their lives after experiencing crisis situations.
Although our organization became an official nonprofit just over a year ago, we've been working in the community for more than 11 years—providing a safe space, life skills, and empowerment through self-defense training, prayer, and encouragement. We work closely with local shelters and outreach programs to serve women who are on a journey toward healing and independence.
We need your help to:
- Research and identify grant opportunities
- Write and edit grant proposals
- Help us communicate our story and impact to potential funders
- Support our goal of expanding community awareness and services
