The Front Desk Intake volunteer plays a vital role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for all individuals seeking food assistance. This person is often the first point of contact for clients and is responsible for managing the intake process with dignity, respect, and confidentiality. They collect and verify client information, assess eligibility, and help connect individuals with additional resources when appropriate, all while making them feel truly seen and respected.
What You’ll Do:
*Greet pantry guests and help them feel welcome
*Complete simple intake forms and check eligibility
*Listen to each person’s situation with empathy and confidentiality
*Help explain how our pantry works and what support is available
*Refer clients to other local services when needed Maintain basic records and data (training provided!)

*Can keep calm and organized in a busy setting
*Are comfortable using a computer or learning our intake system
