Are you passionate about history and eager to help support our events? The Collin County History Museum needs your help!

The Collin County History Museum is now in need of volunteers to work an event scheduled for Friday May 2nd  from 4:00P.M. - 6:30 P.M.

How to Sign Up: Simply respond to your preferred shift(s). Once registered, we expect volunteers to arrive at our location at 300 E Virginia Street, McKinney, on the selected day and time. 

As an Event Support Volunteer, your responsibilities will include:

·       Greeting museum guests

·       Helping them sign in

·       Providing general information about the event

·       Ushering guests into and out of refreshment area

·       Answering visitor questions

·       Help guests sign up for memberships

Join us in celebrating the newest addition to the museum—a special preview of the recently donated Cherokee book collection from Linda and Elvis Nelson.
Highlights of the event:
This exciting event also marks the official opening of our new Research Room, featuring a dedicated section for preserving and exploring Cherokee history and culture.
Enjoy light refreshments and hear from a lineup of engaging speakers as we honor this generous contribution and the legacy it represents.
