MillHouse is partnering with Community Care North Texas supporting east McKinney community at Woodside Village Apartment Complex a few blocks from the century-old Cotton Mill.
We will be hosting a chalk walk for approximately 50 elementary school children
MillHouse Board Member artists and volunteers will sketch designs and games on sidewalks and help kiddos express creativity with chalk.
As a volunteer, you can help sketch scenes in chalk for the children to fill in. Volunteers will also help the children to color in the designs and give any assistance required. We will have tic-tac-toe areas and volunteers can play with the children. You will also help us collect the chalk at the end of the morning.
The event runs from 10:30 - 12. Please arrive at 10AM to receive instructions for the event. If you have someone picking you up, they can arrive at 12 in case cleanup is quick.
Parents of volunteers under the age of 18 are welcome to stay with their children.
