Register to volunteer for the City of McKinney 2025 Point-In-Time (PIT)
Count. The PIT Count will take place from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Thursday,
January 30, 2025.
Each year, the City of McKinney together with Housing Forward and
the Collin County Homeless Coalition (CCHC) counts and surveys its
homeless population, sheltered and unsheltered, as part of a nationwide event.
The PIT Count's success relies heavily on help from volunteers.
The City of McKinney encourages residents and other individuals to volunteer their time by registering for the 2025 PIT Count Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
We are needing 15 Hot Spot Volunteers to assist with serving meals, signing in teams, organizing team packages, surveying incoming sheltered and unsheltered homeless persons, and distributing care packages.
To register as a volunteer, you must first create a profile with Volunteer McKinney. After you have created your profile, you can "Respond" as an individual Hot Spot Volunteer. Then check that you have read and agree to the volunteer waiver. Then “Submit Opportunity Response”. All done!
