"Art Angels" visit senior living facilities and showcase artwork from fine museums while engaging residents to share their experience (e.g., thoughts and feelings) while viewing.
They conduct hour-long "Celebrating the Art Experience" at a senior community once or twice a month, in partnership with that community's Life Enrichment Director, that delight, intrigue, astonish, and comfort residents and staff alike.
Although an extensive knowledge of art or art history is not required, appreciation for such is useful. Essential qualities of an Art Angel are good communication skills, asking questions and listening to responses. Art Angels use art to "love on" people.
Training is required, as are your own laptop computer and HDMI cable. A $25 expense reimbursement is available for successful presentations. We provide tools (pointers, sound system) to facilitate a successful engagement.
