Who We Are
For Love & Art has been using the artwork of fine museums around the world to bring beauty and cause joy for seniors and people in hospice since 2010.
We believe that viewing artwork unleashes creative, powerful, and unique experiences for people and that sharing these experiences elevates the quality of life and enriches the soul.
We see a world in which fine art has undergone a great renaissance, used not for educational or aesthetic means, but for therapeutic love.
We see a world in which volunteers enthusiastically visit the sick and infirm, eager to bring beauty and cause joy while liberating people from loneliness, worry, and boredom - the ugliness of everyday life.
We see a world in which museums are housed not in ivory towers, but at the grassroots in every neighborhood senior community.
We see a world in which celebrating art is celebrating life itself.
For Love & Art is a 501(c)3 enterprise whose mission is to bring the Art Experience to those with limited mobility. Termed "therapeutic art," our service stimulates art appreciation while empowering caregivers to love people in creative and transformative ways.
What We Do
Our volunteer Art Angels conduct hour-long presentations where viewers experience a virtual museum tour from one of our 35 world-renowned partner museums - including, but not limited to, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Dallas Museum of Art, Louvre, and The National Gallery in London.
Art Angels inspire thoughtful conversations inspired by the works of art - engaging residents and subsequently reducing feelings of stress, depression, and isolation.
