Help send children and adults with disabilities to camp!
At Camp Summit, individuals with disabilities both mild and severe, enjoy traditional camp activities in nature and the outdoors like their non-disabled peers.
Camp Summit's campers may range in age from six to ninety-nine years old. We have experienced a unique longevity in our client base due to the fact that we have no upper age limits. Many of our campers have been coming to and re-connecting with their camp friends every year for 20, 30 and even 50 plus years.
At Camp Summit we never deny a campers' participation due to their inability to pay or the severity of their disability. As long as we can medically manage their needs they are welcome at camp.
Our 12th annual Boots & Bandana's fundraiser will be held on Thursday, November 7th, 2013. This event raises money for our remarkable camping program and provides "camperships" to assist campers who are unable to pay for camp.
Event volunteers are needed for the following times:
11am - 2pm: Event set-up (10 - 15 volunteers needed)
2pm - 5pm: Event set-up (10 - 15 volunteers needed)
5pm - 11pm: Registration, silent auction, collecting donations, etc. (30 volunteers needed)
Volunteers are welcome to assist for multiple shifts during the day. We look forward to sharing more with you about our remarkable camp and working together to send children and adults with disabilities to camp!
