City Missions is looking for a passionate volunteer who wants to help grow our impact through fundraising, community engagement, and event planning. You must have some experience.
This volunteer will work alongside our leadership team to develop creative, cost-effective fundraising opportunities that raise awareness, engage the community, and generate support for Friends experiencing housing challenges in Collin County.
Whether it's coordinating a donor event, connecting with local businesses, securing sponsorships, organizing a community fundraiser, or helping launch a new awareness campaign, your efforts will help create opportunities for transformation and hope.
What You'll Do
- Assist in developing creative fundraising campaigns and events
- Help identify and connect with local businesses, churches, and community organizations
- Secure sponsorships, donations, and in-kind support
- Coordinate event logistics and volunteer needs
- Assist with donor stewardship and relationship building
- Help raise awareness of City Missions throughout the community
- Track outreach efforts and maintain communication records
- Participate in planning meetings and collaborate with our team
What We're Looking For
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Creative thinker who enjoys bringing ideas to life
- Comfortable building relationships and connecting with others
- Passion for helping Friends experiencing housing challenges
- Experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, event planning, or community outreach is helpful but not required
- Self-motivated and dependable
Time Commitment
- Approximately 2 to 6 hours per week
- Flexible schedule
- Remote with occasional opportunities to attend events in the Plano and Collin County area
- Minimum commitment of 1 year preferred.
