The Summit will bring together adults who care about at-risk youth, residing in McKinney, ages 13 – 19. Participants will include the city, schools, corporations, non-profits,religious institutions and anyone else who is concerned about youth in our community . The purpose of the Summit is to identify issues that need to be addressed, discover issues that are already being addressed and by whom, identify areas of duplication and determine opportunities for collaboration in the future.
The event will consist of a morning panel discussion, followed by lunch, breakout sessions in the afternoon and a wrap up.
Participants will be provided with a Resource Directory of services available to at-risk youth in McKinney. Participants will also have the opportunity to educate others about programs, propose new programs and develop partnerships.
