Who We Are

Helen Hutton, the founder of Baby Booties, started the organization in 2013 after 6 years in the field of child care. Helen and co-founder Emily Padalino, mother of 5, understand the cost of diapers and realize how it can affect families.  They decided to make a difference.  They believe that giving a little changes a lot. That something as simple as a fresh and clean bottom can help babies and their families rise to the top.

Diaper need is real. Diapers are expensive, averaging around $120 a month or $1440 a year for one child. Federal assistance programs, such as SNAP (formerly called food stamps) and WIC, do not cover diapers. Parents are forced to make hard decisions with limited resources.  Disposable diapers are typically a requirement of most childcare centers, making them a necessity for working parents. Many ask, why not cloth diapers? The answer is simple: one, many childcare facility only allow disposable; two, many families lack washer and dryers; three, many laundromats won’t allow washing diapers in their facilities. Therefor, the need for disposable diapers is great. If you, or someone you know, could use  diapers and supplies for an infant or toddler, please contact us today.

What We Do

Our mission is to meet the overlooked need for diapers and diapering supplies for families of infants and toddlers.  We strive to close the diaper gap and keep babies clean, dry and healthy!  Baby Booties provides free diapers and wipes and there are no requirements other than a need for a clean and happy baby.

We distribute as needs present themselves and there are no requirements to receive help other than the desire to keep a baby clean and healthy.  We provide diaper wipes and diapers ranging from size newborn to pullups.  We will help families of children living in Collin County.

We have 1 diaper distribution each month on the 2nd Saturday, where families may receive supplies.  The number of diapers received is based on a monthly family max and is not per child.  Families may receive all one size for a single child or combine 2 different sizes for 2 different children.

We do not require proof of income, WIC or SNAP eligibility.  We all have experienced difficult seasons in our lives and we are here simply to help in those times of need.  The only thing we do require is some form of identification for the parent picking up.
