McKinney Islamic Association

Who We Are

The McKinney Islamic Association (MIA) is a faith-based community organization that welcomes individuals of all backgrounds to learn about and engage with the local Muslim community. Serving the McKinney, Texas area, MIA provides a place for worship, education, and community-building for Muslims while also fostering connections with the broader community through interfaith and charitable initiatives. In addition to religious services, the association is involved in charitable efforts, youth programs, and social outreach, with a focus on promoting understanding, cooperation, and unity among people of different faiths and cultures.

What We Do

McKinney Islamic Association (MIA) also known as the McKinney Masjid, is not just a place of worship for Muslims but also a vital center for community outreach and service. It serves as a hub for spiritual growth, offering daily prayers and congregational gatherings like the Friday Jumu'ah prayer, which brings the community together in reflection and unity. Beyond its religious functions, MIA plays an active role in fostering community well-being. MIA organizes educational programs, charity events, and social services that benefit both Muslims and non-Muslims alike. This includes food drives, health clinics, and outreach programs aimed at supporting the local community, regardless of faith. MIA welcomes visitors, offering open house events and interfaith dialogues to promote understanding and cooperation. These initiatives provide an opportunity for non-Muslims to learn more about Islam, ask questions, and build connections within the community. MIA strives to serve as a beacon of support, education, and collaboration for all.
