Removing the “Lessness” from Homelessness

Homelessness is an issue that affects all of us.

The problem is most of the solutions being offered focus on the symptoms.

At Emmanuel Labor we concentrate our focus on the root cause of homelessness; radically reducing the amount of time a person struggles and the amount of money being wasted.

The root cause of all homelessness is the breakdown of nuclear relationships. The origin and the extent of the breakdown is the mystery.

We know everyone’s story is unique, and their solution is in their story.

So we learn the story and build a plan.

Volunteer Opportunities

Time is the one thing we never get back! How we choose to spend time and who we choose to spend time with speaks volumes about what we believe and who we believe in.

The gift of your time is priceless and we don’t ever take it for granted. We want your experience serving with us to be one you will cherish and be excited to return to. We know a positive experience originates with proper preparation. All of our volunteers must go through appropriate training to benefit everyone involved. We believe our preparation will be a blessing to you, the people we serve, and anyone else you ever decide to serve.

Levels of Service:

Occasional – Wants to help when able, but can’t commit to a schedule.
Regular – Has the ability to dedicate time on a consistent basis to a consistent project or program.

Mentor – Has the ability to give enough time to support and disciple one or more individuals experiencing homelessness.

Leader – Has the ability to help train and equip other volunteers.
