McKinney Senior Handyman Service

McKinney Senior Handyman Services is a volunteer handyman program assisting seniors in the McKinney community and surrounding areas with minor home maintenance and repairs.

McKinney SHS is an all-volunteer organization sponsored by local area churches and made up of senior volunteers whose mission is to help seniors and others in need in the McKinney community with minor home maintenance and repairs, with a key focus on safety and health issues.

Volunteer Policy
While it is anticipated that the majority of McKinney Senior Handyman Services volunteers will be seniors, volunteer applications from any age group will be accepted. McKinney Senior Handyman Services volunteers do not need to be associated with sponsoring or participating organizations. All volunteers will be subject to a background check.

We help seniors and others with special needs within the McKinney Community. There is no charge for the help we provide. Donations are welcome to offset the cost of materials and to help others who are less fortunate.

We go to the homes of seniors and handicapped and help them with safety-related items (install bathroom grab bars, handrails, threshold ramps, replace smoke detectors or batteries in smoke detectors) also minor home maintenance (light bulbs, toilet repair, a/c filter, etc.).
