Donate shoes/sneakers for children, pre-teens, or youth. We serve children and students who come from less fortunate situations in Collin County Tx.

The shoes may be used or new as long as they are a pair without holes and clean. If you wish to provide socks we serve many in disadvantaged communities that we can give these to.

It's time to start up our bi weekly FALL cleaning again for this Historical House. We will begin on:

Are you interested in spreading holiday joy this winter while lending a helping hand? Then this is the job for you!

Since its debut in 1987, The Trains at NorthPark has been an iconic Dallas holiday tradition. This 7 week fundraiser benefitting The Ronald McDonald House of Dallas is composed of over 1000 hand-painted rail cars that delight viewers on an interactive track. Volunteer for this fundraiser help staff the exhibit, sell tickets, welcome and greet shoppers, and sell merchandise.

This opportunity takes place solely at The Olive Branch.

Hours of the Olive Branch is Monday through Friday 9am - 3pm.  Start time for this opportunity is flexible.  You can volunteer any time between 9am and 3pm while the Olive Branch is open.

This assistance is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week with no rules or regulations as to who receives this assistance. It is the intention that when they receive food for their physical hunger, they receive generous portions of kindness and grace to feed their spiritual and emotional hunger as well.

Pickup the crates to fill the pantries during warehouse hours:

Monday through Friday - 9am to 3pm

The warehouse is closed on Saturdays and Sundays

Suggested hours to service the pantries:

AM - between 7am and noon

PM - between 2pm and 7pm

This job will take around 2 hours start to finish and can be completed anytime between the hours of 9am and noon for AM service or 2pm and 7pm for the PM service.

You will be providing haircuts to the homeless individuals who come to Streetside Showers stops. You will be working with both men and women of all ages. We do request that anyone who signs up in this role is a licensed barber/hairstylist. Each volunteer barber/hairstylist will need to supply their own equipment and tools for providing haircuts. Thank you!

Streetside Showers' mission is to help restore human dignity to the homeless community. The organization's founder, Lance Olinski, was inspired to start Streetside Showers after seeing a homeless man washing out of a public restroom in McKinney, TX.  

Streetside Showers parks temporary showers in strategic locations, including McKinney, Irving, and Plano. The organization also makes free showers available three to four times per week in the Dallas Metroplex. 

In Mckinney an estimated 250-500 persons are experiencing homelessness.

In Collin County:

19% are under 18 yrs old

14% are over 55 yrs old

Youth Homelessness increased 18%

Family Homelessness increased 15%

According to the McKinney-Vento Act, living in a car, hotel, motel, camping ground, or any place outside or not meant for human habitation is considered homelessness.

You will be managing Streetside Closet. This is a 17ft U-Haul that has been converted into a walk-in closet. When a guest comes looking for clothes, you will help them find what they need. Between guests, you will be restocking the clothing truck.

Part of our shower service includes giving our guests fresh clean underwear.  We collect MENS BOXER BRIEFS all sizes and WOMENS COTTON BIKINIS all sizes.

Clothes can be new or used in good condition. 

We need winter items from Oct - March (gloves, hats, scarves, coats, and blankets).

Also, we need belts and shoes for both men and women. 

Lastly, we need men's pants, shorts and shirts. We are well stocked with women's clothes. 

Donated items can be dropped off at any shower location.

Restore: Plant native trees/vegetation to protect nature.

Clean: Remove trash and invasive species from our parks.

Crowdsource: Raise funds for projects using “Artreach”,  grants and eco products and services.

Educate: Get certified as green ambassadors and deliver “show and tell” workshops, blogs/vlogs, and podcasts.

Network: Prepare for careers, entrepreneurship, industry forums and a circular economy.

Promote: Leverage digital media and technology to maximize awareness and efficiency.

Our beds have arrived! We are looking for assistance with putting together 9 beds, they do not require tools! The beds do need 2 or 3 people to put them together, but are easy head board, foot board and the single frame that hook together. 

We also have a dining room table which will require a drill or screw driver to put the legs on. This will require 2 or 3 people.

This event takes place on the second Saturday of every month. It is a friendly family food drive where we provide food and other essential items to 250 or more families. Please feel free to use this Signup Genius to volunteer for the event. Be sure to note the dates and times you select.

Dress comfortably! You should be prepared to stand for the duration of the event. We will be offloading the food truck, packing food items, and distributing them to families.
