Donate shoes/sneakers for children, pre-teens, or youth. We serve children and students who come from less fortunate situations in Collin County Tx.

The shoes may be used or new as long as they are a pair without holes and clean. If you wish to provide socks we serve many in disadvantaged communities that we can give these to.

Since its debut in 1987, The Trains at NorthPark has been an iconic Dallas holiday tradition. This 7 week fundraiser benefitting The Ronald McDonald House of Dallas is composed of over 1000 hand-painted rail cars that delight viewers on an interactive track. Volunteer for this fundraiser help staff the exhibit, sell tickets, welcome and greet shoppers, and sell merchandise.

Would you like to help out at The Olive Branch? This is our central storehouse and distribution facility.


We have multiple tasks at the pantry that have to be worked daily, weekly or occasionally.  


Daily:

Fill milk crates with a variety of food and toiletries to be ready for those volunteers who are servicing the pantries to pick up.Put away donations, check expiration dates, put items on shelves for crate fillers, store like food together by type and date, and generally keep things neat and organized. Sweep, break down boxes, take out trash

Weekly:

General cleaning - cleaning bathroom, desk area, windows, shelving Repackage individually wrapped food items and toiletry items

When needed:

Clean crates - milk crates and the large crates used for storage at the warehouseMonday's only - help unload food deliveries from North Texas Food Bank

Some of these task may involve lifting boxes and crates that are 25 pounds or more. 

This is a great opportunity and very important to making sure McKinney Little Free Pantry can help to address food insecurity in our community.

This opportunity takes place solely at The Olive Branch.

Hours of the Olive Branch is Monday through Friday 9am - 3pm.  Start time for this opportunity is flexible.  You can volunteer any time between 9am and 3pm while the Olive Branch is open.

Volunteer: Putting together beds for overnight shelter in Sachse

Our beds have arrived! We are looking for assistance with putting together 9 beds, they do not require tools! The beds do need 2 or 3 people to put them together, but are easy head board, foot board and the single frame that hook together. 

We also have a dining room table which will require a drill or screw driver to put the legs on. This will require 2 or 3 people.
