CommonGood Medical is seeking to add a Provider who specializes in Women's Health to meet the ongoing needs of the Collin County underserved community. 3rd Saturdays are situated to accommodate a Women's Health clinic. We are also able to add a Women's Health provider on Mondays. If you have the desire and training in this field, go to commongoodmedical.org for volunteer information. CommonGood Medical is a primary care medical clinic for low-income, uninsured residents of McKinney.

CommonGood Medical also provides primary care, acute care, pediatrics, women's health, optometry, dermatology, cardiology, counseling, physical therapy, occupational therapy, prescription assistance, specialist referrals, spiritual care, and community resource referrals. CGM does not charge a fee for its services. 

Due to a large population of Spanish speaking patients, we are in need of a volunteer to help at the front desk who is bilingual in Spanish and English. Duties would include answering phones, greeting patients, filing and computer work. Days needed the most are Mondays and Wednesdays. We are looking for volunteers who can donate their time on a consistent weekly basis.

As Patient Advocates, we aim to build deep relational equity, seeing each individual as a valued soul through the compassionate eyes of Christ.

Our role is to bring the light of the Gospel into every interaction—through kind words, thoughtful actions, and unwavering love. We seek to be attentive to the Holy Spirit, listening for His guidance on how to best minister to the unique needs of every person we encounter.

This isn’t just a task—it’s a profound opportunity to make an eternal impact, to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the lives of those who need it most. Together, we shine His light in places of darkness, offering hope, healing, and dignity to every soul we serve.

The uninsured are up to four times less likely to have a consistent source of health care as those with insurance. Without a medical home, the uninsured often receive health care in the emergency room, the most expensive and least efficient setting possible for primary care.

In McKinney, over 18,000 residents are uninsured and over 12,000 live in poverty. This leaves many without affordable access to health care.
