Are you interested in spreading holiday joy this winter while lending a helping hand? Then this is the job for you!

Since its debut in 1987, The Trains at NorthPark has been an iconic Dallas holiday tradition. This 7 week fundraiser benefitting The Ronald McDonald House of Dallas is composed of over 1000 hand-painted rail cars that delight viewers on an interactive track. Volunteer for this fundraiser help staff the exhibit, sell tickets, welcome and greet shoppers, and sell merchandise.

We do not satisfy court appointed hours Criminal history screening required Age limit: 12-14 must be accompanied with guardian, 15+ may volunteer independently Volunteers must register at the official trains volunteer website listed below

Dallas House:

Early Bird Volunteers
(7 am to 9 am, 7 days a week)

Early Bird Volunteers will work with the Operations Staff to help open up the House each morning and will be responsible for the following tasks:

-Answer the telephone and assist with front desk duties.

-Assist with setting out continental breakfast and breakfast clean-up

-Drive House guests to their early morning doctor’s appointments.

Pleas note: All individual volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, and must undergo a criminal and motor vehicle background check.

Share your special talent for cutting and styling hair at Ronald McDonald House Dallas! 

Our Families don't always know where to go to get a great haircut nearby or don't have the time to travel to a salon in between visits to the hospital. We have a wonderful 2-seat Salon on our premises, including a nice sink to wash hair in.   You can choose your own schedule, but the greatest number of clients will be evenings or weekends.  

This service is greatly needed.

Be a smiling face and a helpful hand as you stroll through the Women's and Children's wings of Medical City Frisco.  Our Hospitality Cart Volunteers play an important role in helping patients and their family members feel comfortable during their visit here.  You will be handing out snacks and beverages, activity items and comfort items such as blankets to folks in the waiting rooms from the cart.  You will also be responsible for keeping records of clients and items served on a check list.

We ask for at least a 3 month, once a week commitment, a RMHD Application and a background Check.  Kitchen volunteers will work closely with our Kitchen Manager and cooking groups and will be responsible for the following tasks:

-Greet cooking groups

-Orient cooking groups to the kitchen, explain equipment and food handling

-Provide tours for cooking groups

-Make iced tea and coffee

-Aid in clean up in the kitchen after meals

-Clean common refrigerators, walk-in refrigerators, family refrigerators and family pantry

-Wash dishes and serving pieces after meals

-Stock snacks and cereal

-Stock family communal kitchen

-Bake cookies, breads and baked goods for guests

-Aid cooking groups that may need extra volunteers with preparing meals

Ronald McDonald House of Dallas is in need of volunteers to help run the front desk. Volunteers will work closely with staff and families living in the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas. We ask for at least a 3-month consistent shift commitment, a RMHD application and a background check.   7-9 am, 9-12 pm, 12-3 pm, 3-6pm, and 6-9 pm shifts, seven days a week available.

Duties will include:

Greeting our families and visitors.

Assist with checking in and out procedures.

Assisting families with their needs.

Giving tours of the house.

Administrative and other tasks.
