Opportunities From: Volunteer McKinney

C.L.I.M.B. is a FREE, after-school enrichment program offered to children and youth with limited resources at Merritt McGowan, 1200 N. Tennessee Street, McKinney. C.L.I.M.B. is an initiative hosted by One Heart McKinney to provide on-site access to extracurricular activities so that children can... C=Connect, L=Learn, I=Imagine, M=Make, B=Become.

We meet every Tuesday and Thursday on the McKinney school calendar from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the Merritt Community Room. We are in need of volunteers who can commit to attending one day per week to serve as small group leaders and assistants.

This person will work with gathering community resources to add to our database, keeping it up-to-date, and monitoring when new resources come into the area. Volunteer twice a week at our location. Some parts of your service can be done from home. Please get in touch with us for more information and to receive the volunteer application. A background check will be needed. Thank You!

Mission: One Heart McKinney exists to coordinate the WHOLE community to maximize well-being in daily life and respond to and recover from any community crisis.

Our goal is to coordinate resources across the WHOLE community of McKinney to help our friends and neighbors experiencing difficulties to access all the services they need, while only telling their story one time. 

We need a few people to help onboard clients. Below is a description of responsibilities:

Successfully onboard new clients. Maintain strict confidentiality and fulfill requirements of HIPAA laws. Maintain appropriate boundaries and a professional demeanor. Write effective notes. Ability to pass required background checks. Serves as the ambassador for anyone seeking information from One Heart McKinney. Provides accurate information regarding available services in a manner tailored to the needs and interests of the individual. Provides excellent customer service.
