JOB PURPOSE
The volunteer position in the library is responsible for organizing and maintaining the library. Library volunteers will ensure the library is stocked with the latest books, shelve returned books, and keep a running list of overdue books. Library volunteers will help residents with the library and any relevant needs.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Stocking library with new books
• Shelving returned books
• Keeping a running list of overdue books
• Helping residents with finding/checking out books
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must consent, complete, and pass all background checks required by DFPS including: department of public safety, FBI fingerprinting, and DFPS central registry.
Must have a Tuberculosis test completed with a negative screening.
Must complete volunteer orientation.
