JOB PURPOSE
The volunteer is meant to plan athletic activities for residents on campus in order to keep them physically active. This can range from games for large groups to smaller activities, and can be varying levels of intensity based on the wants and needs of the residents.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan and implement physical activities for residents
• Encourage residents to become involved and more physically active, making the experience positive for all involved
• Be open to creating plans/programs based on the desires of the residents
• Activities can range from yoga and meditation to crossfit and team games (baseball, basketball, etc.)
• Come with plans already created and ideas for how to use program to benefit residents of all ages
• May work with Volunteer Coordinator in regards to needs (equipment and space) and any purchases that volunteer may feel are necessary or desired by a large majority of residents and are appropriate
Must consent, complete, and pass all background checks required by DFPS including: department of public safety, FBI fingerprinting, and DFPS central registry.
Must have a Tuberculosis test completed with a negative screening.
Must complete Volunteer Orientation
