Best Volunteer Position Ever - On our Board

We're growing - and we need passionate people like you to help us build a stronger community where individuals with disabilities are Valued, Respected, and Included. At Especially Needed, we believe every person, regardless of ability, deserves dignity, opportunity, and a nurturing environment to Celebrate Our Differences and Celebrate Life.
We currently have three meaningful ways to get involved:
BOARD MEMBER (2 positions): A working board role for those ready to take on real leadership and oversight.
- 1-year plus commitment, 5-7 hrs/month (1-2 hrs a week), around our 4 signature events and 3 outreach activities100% volunteer, non-paid
- Oversees 2 committees
- Prior board experience preferred
- Must be at least 21yrs old
COMMITTEE MEMBER (7 positions): Hands-on roles running the engine behind our events and mission.
- 1-year commitment, 5-7 hrs/month, fluctuating around events100% volunteer, non-paid
Choose your focus:
- Marketing Committee (2 positions) - brand awareness, graphics, video, email & mail marketing
- Fundraising Committee (2 positions) - grants, sponsorships, in-kind donations
- Events Committee (2 positions) - coordinating volunteers, vendors, and service providers
- Outreach/Engagement/Advocacy Committee (1 position) - building community partnerships and sharing resources
BRAND AMBASSADOR: Have a high-energy personality and love meeting new people? Become a Spirit Night Ambassador — our very own Especially Needed cheerleader! You'll share our mission with others at spirit night fundraising events and receive 2 FREE Especially Needed T-shirts.
- 100% volunteer, non-paid
