If you enjoy spending time in nature and working with children, please consider volunteering as a classroom assistant at the Heard Museum.
Our natural science classes meet weekly on Tuesdays, with preschoolers meeting in the morning (9:30 to 11:30) and homeschoolers meeting in the afternoon (1:00 to 3:00). Each class session consists of a lesson, a hike, and an animal visitor. Classes begin September 11th and run through December 11th, but do not meet Thanksgiving week.
An online volunteer application is required and may be found on the Heard website at http://www.heardmuseum.org/volunteerapplication. A background check, plus applicable fee, also is required.
