Once a year Embrace Texas gives local foster parents a free evening of childcare, so they can take a few hours to rest, recharge or go out on a date. While parents are out, their children enjoy a Christmas party like no other. Kids keep busy with crafts, activities, bounce houses, pizza, living nativity and, the man in red himself, Santa! This year Santa would like to give each child 12” stocking filled with crayons, gel pens, art supplies, small toys, and fresh fruit. 85 children participate in the event.
Your church, community group, team or business can collect the items, assemble the stockings and even be on hand to help Santa distribute these gifts. This annual event has been held in McKinney for the last 10 years and has served over 700 foster and adopted children and families.
