Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Planting 1:00 - 4:00 pm)
Volunteer Information
We’re seeking 100 volunteers to help plant 88 trees. No experience is necessary — all are welcome! Children welcome with a parent/ adult present.
*Please note: You are not digging holes. The holes will be pre-dug!
Provided for all volunteers:
- Tools and supplies: shovels, gloves, rakes, sunscreen, bug spray, and bottled water
- Planting sites are pre-prepared in advance
- Expert guidance and planting support from Texas Trees Foundation staff
What to Bring: 1. Water bottle, 2. Closed-toed shoes 3. Long pants and clothing that can get dirty

Help Beautify and Support Jericho Village
Join us for a special day of service as we plant 88 trees across the Jericho Village community — a new affordable housing development in Wylie designed to help individuals and families move from crisis to stability.
This planting event will bring together volunteers, donors, and partners to create a welcoming, shaded landscape for the future residents of Jericho Village.
Event Schedule
- 12:00 PM – Optional tour & boxed lunch provided by Credit Union of Texas (CUTX)
- 1:00 PM – Event kickoff
- Welcome remarks
- Group photo
- Planting demonstration by Texas Trees Foundation
Tree planting begins (estimated planting time: 2 to 3 hours)
- 4:00 – Wrap-up
Adopt a Tree – Leave a Lasting Legacy
In addition to volunteering, you have the opportunity to support Jericho Village by adopting a tree in honor of your business, a loved one, or a meaningful moment. Each adopted tree includes a personalized plaque placed at its base.
Tree Adoption Levels:
- $2,500 – Large Tree
- $1,500 – Medium Tree
- $500 – Small Tree

About Jericho Village
Jericho Village is a 38-unit, income-based housing complex built by AGAPE Resource & Assistance Center (supporting individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness). Located in Wylie, Texas, the permanent affordable housing development includes on-site services such as childcare, transportation assistance, and job readiness training.
- 85% complete as of October 2025
- First residents expected to move in by end of 2025
- Features include 9 residential buildings, a playground, and a community garden
- Designed to support long-term stability, especially for women-led households affected by trauma
