Opportunities From: Volunteer McKinney

Sci-Tech Discovery Center needs skilled volunteers with experience working with electricity and electronics to assist in the construction of new exhibits. Experience working with open source components, Linux , and Arduino, is helpful as well as traditional wiring methods. A variety of projects needing various skill levels exist. Work to take place at Sci-Tech’s makerspace in Frisco on week or weekend days. Sci-Tech Discovery Center needs volunteers to assist with projects involving general assembly and take down of exhibit components. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs, follow step-by-step instructions, and use basic hand-held tools. Work to take place week or weekend days at Sci-Tech Discovery Center in Frisco. Tinker Much? Sci-Tech Discovery Center needs volunteers with general carpentry skills and experience to help build new exhibits.   If you have the talents we have a fully equipped shop in our new Maker Space.   A variety of projects needing various skill levels are available; from making simple wall panels to complex cabinetry and displays.
