Volunteer McKinney is partnering with the second annual Run for Hope! Walk in Unity, an interfaith community event bringing together 10+ faith communities, local leaders, and nonprofit partners to support food, health, education, and rental assistance programs through Collin County NeighborHub at McKinney.

This high-energy community event includes a 5K run, 1-mile unity walk, live music, food trucks, games, and family-friendly activities at Towne Lake.

Volunteers are needed to support race-day operations including course guidance, water stations, finish line support, hospitality, and general event assistance.

Overview:
Volunteer McKinney is seeking a summer intern interested in gaining hands-on experience in the nonprofit and social impact sector. This role offers exposure to marketing, programs, community engagement, and basic operations while supporting volunteerism across Collin County.

Key Responsibilities:

Support programs, events, and volunteer initiatives

Assist with social media and communications

Help coordinate volunteers and track engagement

Provide basic administrative and digital support

Participate in weekly check-ins with leadership

Additional Expectations:
This is a hybrid role that includes some evening and weekend support for community events.

Ideal Candidate:
College students interested in nonprofit work, social entrepreneurship, or community impact who are organized, adaptable, and motivated to learn.
