Volunteer: Bottled Water for those sleeping on our streets!

We are in urgent need of bottled water to support individuals experiencing homelessness in our community—especially during this extreme Texas heat. Through our Church Without Walls outreach, we serve and minister to over 40 people on the streets every single day, offering food, clothing, encouragement, and prayer.

Your bottled water donations help prevent dehydration and show our neighbors they are seen, loved, and not forgotten.

Drop-Off Location:

2332 Claridge Circle, Plano 75075

Donations can be dropped off any time.

Questions? Contact us by one of the means below:
Scott: 972.890.5290 or scottmormon@bfinc.org
Nicholas: nicholas.mchenry@bfinc.org

Together, we can bring relief, comfort, and hope to those who need it most. Thank you for being a blessing to our community!

Volunteer: Create Non-Perishable Food Packs For Homeless

Non-Perishable Food Packs

(Perfect opportunity for student, school clubs, youth groups and others needing community service  hours). For more details please contact Scott at (214) 501-6000 or email- scottmormon@gmail.com
Visit our website at www.bfinc.org

In addition to prayer, we also try to help the homeless we reach out to with their practical needs. Having a Food Pack to hand out to them is a great help especially on days when local food pantries are not open.

To make a food pack please put several non-perishable snack items in a quart-size zip-lock (or off-brand) bag. Note that the bags should be plastic and not paper.

If you can't make a food pack then feel free to donate non-perishable food items.

Example Items:

Here are some example items that will work. We just ask that any liquids be donated separately and not placed inside the bags.

More Examples Of Non-Perishable Food:

Crackers
Tuna in packets
Powdered Beverage Mix Packets
Granola Bar
Nuts
Jerky

Example Completed Bag:

Additionally, if any of your food items require utensils it'd be a great help if you include disposable utensils in the bag.

We are out in the streets daily, so we go through bags quickly. We can go through 400 bags a month. Please know any amount helps us care for the less fortunate in our community.

To drop-off food packs please contact Scott at 972.890.5290 or scottmormon@bfinc.org

We invite you to come participate with us in Plano handing out grace bags to the disadvantaged. We also provide education for those interested about the reality of homelessness in our community.

We also do drug and alcohol addiction awareness in schools, churches, parenthood groups etc. educating about the results of chemical addiction. If interested please message or call us. Thank you, Scott

Volunteer: Create Mini-Hygiene Kit (or Donate the Items) for the Homeless

(Perfect opportunity for student, school clubs, youth groups and others needing community service  hours). For more details please contact Scott at (214) 501-6000 or email- scottmormon@gmail.com

Mini-Hygiene Kits

Keeping clean can be very difficult on the streets. When a man or lady is able to keep clean, this can give them that extra bit of positivity they need to get through the day, and it can help them present themselves well for a job interview. Mini-hygiene kits are a great way to help care for the less fortunate.

Here are the ways you can help:

A) Assemble full kits
or
B) Donate whatever hygiene-related items you may have or buy. Feel free to give other items than those we have listed. We have found the ones listed are the most needed items.

Assembly

To assemble a mini-hygiene kit just put the items in a half-gallon-sized zip-lock (or off-brand) bag. If the items fit in a smaller bag that is fine too.

Example Kit:

Kit Contents:

Toothbrush
Toothpaste
Disposable Razors
Deodorant
Soap

Feel free to add more items, but avoid liquids unless sealed very well.

We are in the streets daily, so we go through bags quickly. Please know any amount helps us care for the less fortunate in our community.

To drop off mini-hygiene kits please contact Scott at 972.890.5290 or scottmormon@bfinc.org

We also invite you to come with us to the streets and watch us hand out the kits. We also do educational speaking to all ages about homelessness and drug and alcohol awareness. If interested please message or call us. Thank you, Scott.

Volunteer: Donate Bibles; Help Support Single Mothers, Children and Homeless

As we reach out to the community whether single mothers with children or the homeless we find they often need bibles. If you would like to donate Bibles then anything will work, but these are our recommendations:

Complete or New Testament: Bibles can be the full bible with Old + New Testament or New Testament only.

Youth & Children's Bibles: Especially needed.

Life Recovery Bible for those needing bibles in our drug and alcohol addiction program.

Easy-to-understand Translations: Translations that are easier to comprehend are preferable. While some people we meet use the King James Version many have trouble understanding it.

Language Options: We need Bibles in Spanish and others in English. You may provide either or both.

Thank you so much, you don't know how thankful people can be when the right person receives their first bible.

To drop off bibles please contact Scott at 972.890.5290 or scottmormon@bfinc.org

Volunteer: Donate Winter Items (Hoodies, Blankets, Gloves) For The Homeless

Donate Winter Items (Hoodies, Blankets, Gloves) For The Homeless

Update: Small throw blankets are the item most needed right now. They can be purchased at stores such as Walmart or Academy for < $4.

The cold can be a life-or-death situation, and unfortunately, this is no exaggeration due to a few incidents a few years ago. When you are homeless you can’t carry a heavy jacket around all year so when the sudden cold comes most find themselves unprepared.

We ask that any items that would help in the winter be donated. The primary items we have in mind are small throw blankets and warm outerwear such as hoodies, coats, or jackets. Beanies, gloves, and scarves are also appreciated.

Possible Items:Small Throw Blankets Hoodies Coats Jackets Beanies Gloves Scarves Thermal Underwear Even Wool Socks Size

Adult Men’s and/or Adult Women’s of Any Size
