Volunteer: Intake Volunteer

The Intake Volunteer will administer all aspects of programs and program implementation associated with the agency.

Responsibilities:

Ability to communicate and work with clients in a professional manner in order to identify their need, crisis, history, level of self sufficiency, and other personal information Provide complete intakes over the phone and occasionally in person Ability to empathize with client to obtain all necessary information Ability to utilize various computer programs to assist clients Ability to prioritize clients needs Ability to advocate on behalf of the client when necessary Ability to make recommendations to staff concerning the case and services Provide quality information, referrals, and resources in the attempt to truly get our clients help we could not provide

 

Client management and conflict resolution File management Excellent communication and delegation skills for quality program implementation Any other duties assigned by Program Director

Qualifications:

 

High School Diploma Strong leadership skills with the ability to work with little or no supervision Takes initiative and is able to multi-task, delegate, and handle pressure in a professional manner Excellent communication skills both written and verbal People person

 

High School Diploma Previous experience administering of social service programs and/or Information & Referral preferred Bi-Lingual in Spanish a plus

Be the "friendly face" of the organization while greeting the public Assist clients with filling out forms Assist clients with providing copies of required documents Assist occasionally with intakes in person Assist with quality information & referral Assist probation client's with filling out appropriate paperwork Able to utilize various computer programs to assist clients Treat all clients with respect and dignity
