Advisory Council members provide vital strategic leadership, ensuring our curriculum stays at the forefront of the North Texas Region’s needs—spanning government, education, workforce development, and health. Our council is instrumental in maintaining our high standards for disability inclusion and accessibility, which remain core pillars of every session we host. The TLT-TLBP program continues to develop a premier pool of initiative-taking individuals dedicated to improving the quality of life across the Blackland Prairie. By joining the Council, you help sustain a culture of active community contribution and regional excellence. Serving the North Texas region: Dallas, Addison, Richardson, Farmers Branch, Plano, McKinney, Frisco, Allen, Wylie, Celina, Prosper, Princeton, Farmersville, Anna, Carrollton, Lewisville, The Colony, and Melissa. and beyond. Opportunity Summary: Advisory Council Member Role: Strategic leadership and curriculum advisory for the Texas Leadership Blackland Prairie program. Key Requirements: Must have graduated from a Texas Leadership Program and be at least 21 years old. Commitment: 2 hours per month (Virtual/Hybrid meetings, Locations will be decided upon by council). How It Works: We offer a flexible, high-impact format designed to fit your team’s busy schedule: The Power Hour: Engage with TLT Interns during their 60-minute remote team meetings. Interactive Mentorship: Dive into breakout rooms to review intern's live projects, lead group discussions on trending business topics, and provide real-world feedback on TLT Leadership modules and industry specific need to know information. Scalable Impact: Choose a commitment that works for you—from a 90-minute "Sprints" to a half-day "Leadership Takeover. Logistics at a Glance Team Size Up to 15 participants per team meeting. Availability Every Tuesday, meetings run from 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM, through May 1st and June 1 to July 26th. Duration Flexible blocks ranging from 1.5 as the minimum, teams can opt for longer "Leadership Takeover" sessions. Rotation Options to rotate different departments/teams throughout the day. What Your Team Gain Skill Development: Practice coaching and radical candor in a low-stakes, high-impact environment. Direct Impact: Provide real-world feedback that shapes the interns' current live projects. Team Bonding: A meaningful, remote way for your department to give back together without travel time. Mandatory To ensure student safety, all participants must complete a background verification before their scheduled session. Once your team is registered, we will send a link to our verification partner. If your company has its own recent background check certifications (within 12 months), please contact us to see if they can be used in lieu of a new screening.
