Towne Lake Trail Maintenance Volunteer Day

When: Saturday, March 25th, 2023 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time to sign a waiver and meet the group. Individuals needing to earn service hours can have their records signed by a board member at the conclusion of the event.

What we will be doing: Using trimmers to clear the trail of overgrowth, track pickup, clean the picnic areas, and remove fallen debris on the trail. Tools available will include a weed whacker, backpack blower, loppers, etc.

What do I wear: Long pants, long sleeves, face covering, and closed-toed shoes or boots.  You will also need to have your own work gloves.  All tools will be provided by the McKinney Parks Foundation. Bring bug spray, sunscreen, and water. Protective eyewear is recommended if you plan to be cutting branches or operating some of the cutting tools.

Print the volunteer waiver and bring it with you. Participants under the age of 18 need to have a guardian or parent sign the form.

The trail is to the East of the McKinney Community Center parking lot at 2001 S Central Expy, McKinney, TX 75070. Parking is available at the Community Center. Restrooms are available at the Community Center.

The McKinney Parks Foundation provides trail maintenance in this area for the enjoyment of the community.
