On the weekend of November 14th and 15th the artists of McKinney, Texas will open their studios to the art loving public. Come meet the artists, see the studios and experience the creative process in action. This self-guided tour also gives you direct access to original artwork by amazing local artists.

This year's McKinney Art Studio Tour is free and features over 60 artists. See live demonstrations of raku firing, sculpting, painting, woodturning, and much more! Visit as many or as few studios as you like, at your own pace.

Plan your tour by exploring the artists’ pages on our website and referencing the online or printed map, which will guide you to each artist’s location. Many of the artists, whose studios are widely spread about the city, will join with more centrally located studios in an effort to make the experience easier for tour goers. Visit as many or as few studios as you like, and at your own pace. Many of the studios are conveniently clustered near the historic downtown square, offering a variety of unique dining and shopping options.

Don’t forget the Auction! We want the tour to continue to be free to the public and free or low cost to the artists. The art auction will help support this effort so please stop by the Heard Craig Center for the Arts and bid on your favorite pieces. Some auction items will be displayed at the artist studio locations as well. Donations will also be welcome!

Volunteering to be a docent for MAST is an excellent opportunity to spend a couple of hours, or even the entire day, hanging out with an artist in their studio. Visit the sign up page for locations and available times.
