Description

The Personal Disaster Preparedness class will help you learn the principles of emergency preparedness and how to apply them in your own life. We will discuss potential hazards in North Texas; how to create an emergency plan; make a 72hour emergency supply kit; and how to stay informed in an emergency or disaster. By preparing to be self-reliant in an emergency, we can build strong and resilient communities in the face of disaster!

The Deployment class is REQUIRED for anyone that wishes to attend an activation of the Medical Reserve Corp. This means any type of deployment to aid the community and our partners.

We will discuss MRC operations and protocols for deployment. You will learn… The process of how a Call Down works.

How to respond to a call down.

What you need to do prior to deployment.

Where you report when you arrive at the deployment.

Protocols for operating within an MRC deployment.

How to check in/out of shifts.

How to report problems.

Social media and MRC deployments.

Deactivation of the MRC from a deployment.

Please bring your MRC Handbook to all MRC events and trainings to keep important additions.
