Who We Are
Collin County Teen Court is responsible for the administration of the county-wide program involving the handling and disposition of cases referred by the justices of the peace as well as other agencies. Teen Court is also responsible for the recruitment and training of teen volunteers for participation in the program. As an extension of the office, Teen Court also coordinates a variety of events and programs specifically designed for young people - giving them the opportunity to get involved and learn about county government.
?Collin County Teen Court does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations.
What We Do
We are a government-sponsored program dedicated to providing learning opportunities for youth within Collin County. Teens are given a variety of opportunities to get involved in the judicial system as a juror or an attorney. Through Teen Court, our volunteers develop important critical thinking and public speaking skills, learn about criminal justice, and meet people from all walks of life, while simultaneously earning community service hours.
