Carson's Crusaders Foundation

Carson's Crusaders Foundation provides support and assistance to children and their families affected by pediatric cancer.

Starting in 2013 Carson’s Crusaders Foundation will be affiliated with three major hospitals in the Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area. Medical City Children’s Hospital in Dallas, Children’s Medical Center Dallas and Legacy Campus in Plano,  Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth and Dallas.  The purpose of this affiliation is to support children with cancer and their families with two main programs: transportation assistance and sibling support. Through our transportation program we will provide gas cards, parking vouchers, and other travel assistance to help children receive the care they need. The Siblings (Support) Superstars program will provide support for the brothers and sisters of children diagnosed with cancer in the form of fun and relationship building family oriented events.

Carson’s Crusaders Foundation was established in memory of Carson Richardson, who lost his battle with Hepatoblastoma cancer in 2010 at the age of 7. The Foundation was founded by Carson Richardson’s parents, Ryan and Kimberly, and grandfather, George Richardson.

Through Carson’s three and half year battle with Hepatoblastoma, the Richardsons were blessed with financial, emotional, and spiritual support from friends and family. Their community embraced and supported them through the difficult journey. They soon realized that not all families were as fortunate. Their desire to help others led to the formation ofCarson’s Crusaders Foundation.

Carson’s Crusaders Foundation was formed to provide assistance to families of children battling cancer. Our services include travel assistance, sibling support, educational programs, and financial support to those families affected.

Carson’s Crusaders received its 501c3 nonprofit recognition in October 2011. The Board and its volunteers are currently involved in fund raising projects to support planned outreach activities.
