Description

Don't miss this year's Make A Difference Day at McKinney's beautiful World Collection Park!

Have fun and enjoy the fresh morning air outdoors by volunteering for some light Crape Myrtle tree pruning, Dallisgrass removal, mulch distribution, and general park cleanup for this 7-acre park.  Neil Sperry will be onsite at 8:45 am to provide a tutorial for all volunteers on the "Correct Way to Prune a Crape Myrtle and How to Recognize and Remove Dallisgrass".

Please wear protective clothing (gloves, hat, sunglasses, closed-toe shoes or boots) along with sunscreen and insect repellent.

There will be a small supply of gloves and gardening tools on hand – but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gardening tools for their use (hand shears, lopping shears, rakes, spades, sharpshooters, square-bladed shovels, push brooms, trash grabber sticks, trash bags, wheelbarrow, power blower, etc.)

Add your name on all your tools for easy identification - use blue masking tape and a Sharpie.

Parking may be limited inside the park. And there are no restrooms at the park.

Thank you, volunteers!

"Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart."   - Elizabeth Andrew
